Vintage 1937 Jojo 12” Composition Doll By Horsman. She is marked
JO-JO 1937 HORSMAN on the back of her head. This darling little doll is 12.5 inches tall and made completely of composition in excellent condition for her age. She features a blonde mohair wig in braids, sleepy brown tin eyes, short painted upper and lower lashes, single stroke brows and a closed rosebud mouth. Her actual eyelashes are gone but her eyes still open and close as they should. She has all of her fingers and toes. The stringing in her arms is loose but her stringing in her legs, torso and head are nice and tight. She can stand independently and balances well but her arms don’t hold a pose. Overall her composition is in excellent condition. Her face is virtually free of any cracks or crazing. She does have a couple of dings to her eyelids that are only visible when closed. The composition on her arms and torso is excellent. The does have some crazing and some discoloration on her left leg only. There are two small chips that are located on the inside of her joints. She has one small hole to the inside joint of her right thigh where it goes inside her pelvis. There is also a small chip to her right shoulder where it fits inside her torso. These are only visible if the joints are turned out and she is nude. There is a raised seam on her right side. She is dressed in a short pink dress, shoes, panties, socks and bonnet. The origin of her clothing is unknown. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
